Delikatesy Orzech 18 Brings Digital Shelf Efficiency to Modern Grocery Retail with ZKONG ESL

Location: Głogów Małopolski, Poland

Industry: Grocery Store / Supermarket

Customer Overview

Delikatesy Orzech 18 is a newly opened modern grocery store in Głogów Małopolski, Poland. Opened on 24 June 2026, the store was developed by the manufacturer behind the ORZECH brand and covers more than 800 square metres. With 25 employees and a broad assortment covering fresh produce, bakery, meat, dairy, grocery, household goods and local regional products, the store is designed to provide a spacious, efficient and comfortable shopping experience for local customers and families.

Challenge

As a new grocery format with thousands of products and frequent promotional activity, Delikatesy Orzech 18 needed a faster and more accurate way to manage shelf information across the store. Manual paper labels would increase staff workload, slow down price changes and make it harder to keep product information consistent across fresh, packaged and promotional categories. The store also wanted its shelf presentation to match the modern layout and professional customer experience of the new location.

Solution

ZKONG and local partner ITGogola Sp. z o.o. supported the store's digitalisation through the implementation of ZKONG Electronic Shelf Labels. The ESL system enables digital price and product information management across the store, helping staff update shelf information more efficiently while reducing dependence on paper labels.

With ESL installed at the shelf edge, Delikatesy Orzech 18 can improve pricing accuracy, support clearer product communication and respond more quickly to everyday retail changes. Together with the store's modern equipment and energy-efficient solutions, the project reflects a practical step toward smarter, more efficient and more sustainable grocery retail operations.

Key project outcomes:

  • Digital shelf labels support faster price and product information updates.

  • Reduced paper label usage and manual replacement work.

  • Clearer shelf-edge communication across grocery, fresh and promotional categories.

  • A cleaner, more modern in-store presentation aligned with the new store format.
